I am drawn to stories that live on the margins: what is sensed rather than said, what remains after the noise dies down.
La Ceja, Antioquia · 1996
I am a Colombian writer. From childhood I found in words a way to explore worlds, emotions, and mysteries — something that led me to commit to literature as a way of life. I write short fiction and am working on a novel, moving between mystery, fantasy, the everyday, and the strange.
In 2019 I joined the Literary Creation Workshop at the Universidad de Antioquia, where I found the objectivity and rigor my writing needed. It was there that the definitive versions of El Sastre, La Señora Holmes, and several of the stories in my first book came to life. Later, the specialized creative writing course at Wesleyan University gave me the technical tools to shape what I had already been sensing.
I am the author of Cuerno de Jirafa y otros efectos secundarios, published by Calixta Editores. A collection of fourteen stories that explore pain, death, and love from the angles that conventional narrative tends to avoid. My genres — mystery, fantasy, and horror — are a constant source of inspiration for the projects ahead.
This site exists to share stories, reflections on the creative process, and tools for writers. It is meant for passionate readers and for writers searching for inspiration and resources on their own path.
